Welcome! Had a good trip? It took a while to get to holiday farm Fattoria Terranova, but considering the beauty of the place it was well worth it!
Just look around you, we are surrounded by nature: lots of greenery, typical Mediterranean vegetation, olive, fig, orange and lemon trees and vineyards, and what's more, the sea (o' mare) is only a quarter of an hour away by car. The town of Sant'Agata sui due Golfi is only 500 meters away. It got its name for the magnificent view of the two most beautiful gulfs of Italy that can be appreciated from it: the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. On one side you have Sorrento, the capital of the Sorrentine Peninsula, 8 kilometers downhill from the holiday farm, and then there is Massa Lubrense, at 6 kilometers; on the other side you will find the small towns of Nerano and Marina del Cantone, the Jeranto, Recommone and Crapolla bays: small enchanting beaches that can be reached by trails through the greenery for a truly beautiful experience. A little further away, after a 20-minute car ride, you will find Positano where the Amalfi Coast starts, with villages that resemble a manger ('nu presepe) and then Amalfi, truly gorgeous!
At the very tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula, very close to the holiday farm Fattoria Terranova, you have Punta Campanella, a must-see natural park and marine reserve! the scenery is very beautiful (bello assaje): cliffs, small beaches, a gorgeous sea and typical Mediterranean vegetation. In addition there are the Roman villas, the so-called Bagni della Regina Giovanna, with natural pools and a spectacular view on the Gulf of Sorrento. From here you can see Capri, Ischia and the Li Galli islands, the place is reputed to be inhabited by sirens, the same ones encountered by Ulysses long ago.
If you are up to it and want to travel a bit more and in a comfortable way, take either the train or hydrofoil, get off at Sorrento and take the Circumvesuviana up to Herculaneum and Pompeii or all the way to Naples, or else take the sea metro and take an excursion to Capri, a city that is very beautiful and chic.
A visit to Sant'Agata could also be very interesting. You will be able to admire the church in honor of Santa Maria delle Grazie and with a 10-minute walk (all uphill!), from the square, you will make it to Monastero del Deserto where you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view, the most gorgeous one of all the Sorrentine Peninsula. The Gulfs of Naples and Salerno, the blue sea, and all the small villages are a sight for you to enjoy: just fabulous!
As you can see there are so many options during your stay at the holiday farm Fattoria Terranova, a stroll in Sorrento, a dip at Marina del Cantone, an excursion to Herculaneum and Pompeii, a cruise to Capri, horseback ride or mountain bike through the pine forest "La Tore" which is close by. You choose!
